Improves Ocean Literacy Value Using Language Learning

9 Oct 2023

The ocean makes a tremendous contribution to human life. It is not a factor of separation but rather of national integration in a country. Saving the ocean is becoming a worldwide concern. As a result, public knowledge and respect for the ocean's preservation are critical.

How can pupils absorb ocean literacy through language acquisition in the classroom?

The seven ocean literacy concepts might be linked to language learning. The next step may be to teach the materials linked to ocean literacy in the classroom. Language learning may be accomplished by incorporating marine topics into student reading materials such as posters and poems. Teachers should select instructional materials that foster a love for and concern for the water. This is possible in language learning, particularly in Senior High School. Understanding ocean literacy is critical for kids to increase their knowledge of the necessity of maintaining the sea.

Language-based corporate ocean training

Acquisition of marine literacy is available not just in school as part of language acquisition but also in business. Several ocean seminars and professionals are working on this topic. You may learn more about the ocean by taking a course with a corporate language trainer here.

The researchers selected various publications that may be used, including posters, news, poetry, and local information about the water. As a result, the students understood the seven principles of ocean sciences:

  1. The earth has one large ocean with many features.
  2. The ocean and life in the ocean shape the features of the earth.
  3. The ocean is a 110 significant influence on weather and climate.
  4. The ocean makes the earth habitable.
  5. The ocean supports a diverse range of life and ecosystems.
  6. The ocean and humans are inextricably linked.
  7. The ocean is largely unexplored.
